A good friend of mine in high school (who moved to Portland from Mexico as an adolescent) would put copious amounts of salt on all sorts of fruit... She would take watermelon and cover it in salt and chile powder... It was far from stellar, in my humble opinion... But salted prunes out of satan's anus? I can only imagine that those are worse by far...
