Three Scattered Thoughts

- I watched Brokeback Mountain today. This was a big step for me. Each time I saw the trailer in theaters, I would begin laughing uncontrollably. I laughed so uncontrollably that my laughter carried over into the next three trailers and embarrassed Tyler. My laughter was induced not because of the gay cowboy plot, but because of how horribly the trailer presented the gay cowboy plot. So overtly serious, so falsely sympathetic to the plight of the gay heifer herders was the trailer that it became comical. Anyway, now I feel properly informed regarding this movie, which will only strengthen my jokes regarding the plight of a star-crossed pair of heifer herders. This will come in handy for any parties or other social events in the near future.
Next on my list of “the most talked about movies” to watch is Crash. I have Mason’s rave reviews to thank for this addition to my list.
- Yesterday, I received two custom orders for neck warmers from people I don’t even know. I’ve hit it big time! Now if only my sales would pick up so I don’t have to find a second job, or if my current job would hire me full-time. It would be nice not to have to play chicken with my loan and credit card payments while waiting for my UW paycheck to be deposited. For the record, I’m horrible at playing chicken with my payments. These past few days were painful because I tripped, fell face-first in the road, and proceeded to be repeatedly run over by the evil that is financial-based, money-making institutions.
- Mason will be happy to hear that Mary’s teeth are clean and don’t smell bad any longer. Unfortunately for those who live with this smelly beast, her new special kidney diet dog food smells really bad. Not only does it smell bad, but it has a pervasive odor that wafts throughout the entire apartment. I often fell ill these days, thanks to the pervasive odor that I can’t escape.

That’s because THERE IS NO ESCAPE.
