Deschutes River Fishing Trip

Went with 5 friends on a float/camping trip on the Deschutes River in Eastern Oregon Tues. thru Friday afternoon. The weather was horrible – it rained all day on Wed. and camping in the rain is the shits. Caught some fish (the rainbow in the picture is like 14″), had some great laughs and conversations with my buddies. One of the pictures show my buddy Ken in the rain in my boat with a tarp draped
over him.

Looks like a lot of fun minus the rain. The camp site pic is a little confusing. It looks like those oars were positioned like you guys were making a teepee with them and is that a hang glider behind?

The oars are positioned to hang a lantern or trash bag. The “hang glider” thing is a rain fly to keep rain off the cook and cooking stuff. Happy birthday, dude!
