Mason Just Misses NCAA Championships

Turns out the last 100 Fly time taken was 48.59, just .04 seconds faster than our friend Mason at 48.63. Good luck at Nationals this year and next year at the NCAA Championships. Hey, how come Brett wasn’t invited? As far as I can tell it’s only Bruno for UW.

correct, they took people up to my time. However, that is because each event only takes about 25ish people. THEN, those people can swim other events that they have a B-cut in. So for instance, if pat made it in the top 25 for 200 breastroke, he could swim other events only if he has the B-cut in them. So in the 100 fly, only 25 poeple were taken for that specific event, but a ton others who had the B-cut (up to apparently 48.59) in other events also swam the 100fly. FATALITY

Thanks for the explanation. How close was Brett? Pat and Brett didn’t make it, correct? You set to swim well at nationals? Or will finals get inthe way?

Go Mason! So close…
You realize that this means you’re gonna have to pay the rest of your way through college by hawking your body at Hood River botiques during all your breaks, right? I think the NCAA loss has further sealed your fate.
