A Gender Bending Birthday Bash
May 5th, 2008 at 6:58 PM by Dieter

This saturday we celebrated Adam’s 20th Birthday in Bellingham. It was a themed party in which you come  dressed as the opposite sex, in order to let loose of the silly gender norms of our society. Chelsey and I went as sort of hickish people. We were brother and sister, Chels was Hank and I was Diedra. Chels, being the makeup professional that she is and having gained from her recent Theatrical Makeup Class was responsible for all of the makeup and costume design. So if you are frightened and shocked out how darn good we look be sure to direct your compliments her way.

See, now this is why I don’t fix the website. You take my wonderful creations and pervert them for your indecent, sacrilegious purposes.
BTW, nice paisley.

My dress was pretty phenomenal, if I do say so myself. Chelsey, I can’t believe you kept your trip up here a secret from me! Jeez! What a wonderful surprise… The party was wonderful, your costumes were amazing…
And then there’s the lifesize cardboard cutout of Barack Obama Dieter set up in my room while I was downstairs socializing… which still makes me jump every time I open my door.
Thanks for such a great birthday, kids.

Unbelieveable – in the true sense of the word. And the time, effort and $’s my wife and I spent raising Dieter…….
Great costumes, Chelsey.
