Bare Chested

This is the Chest I’ve been toiling over for the past few weeks, I’m just now wrapping it up. The chest is made out of Mahogany along with a couple of hinges I picked up from the restore for 50 cents and a very old key lock. Along with the excellent craftsmanship, notice the recessed handles on either side of the chest for carrying.

I just finished wrestling with the darn lock which refused to open, I was very scared I’d have to rip apart the box to replace the lock but somehow it just popped open.

Nice! What kind of finish did you put on it (or plan to put on it)?
