My little pea pod keychain

So this is a design I made in my ETEC class on a CAD program which will be used to make a keychain using the 3D printer we have in the lab. I was interested in making a keychain with a free moving part inside of it, so I started out making sketches of cubes and pyramids with a ball or another shape inside. I later realized these designs wouldn’t be possible besause we had to fit our designs inside a 2″ by 1″ by .25″ box. The box or pyramid design concepts were now out of the question because of the 1/4 in. highth limit. After I hit this wall in ideas for a design I tried to think about how I could make a cool design thats flat but encorporates the free moving object idea and so I thought of making a pea pod design. The pea pod design entails a slightly bent shaft with a slit all the way down showing the spheres(peas) inside. Boths ends of the shaft come to cone like tips with a ring hole intersecting one of the tips. In other words it kicks ass!
