It only took 2 years to make it happen but the bike is finally finished. The process started long ago by taking the whole bike apart and stripping the paint off the frame. And after a failed attempt to paint the frame myself using good old fashioned spray paint I decided to go to the professionals to get it powder coated(the fork silver and frame a creamy white). I then put on the finishing touches such as silver brake lines, and silver colored fenders and rack. With the last and most important ingredient being two beautiful white and gray Ortlieb back roller classics courtesy of mother and father. (Thanks guys!)

I had the opportunity to design the poster for a show my painting class is putting on called “LOW DEFINITION”. Our paintings reference the Chuck Close style (abstraction via pixelation).

A couple weekends ago I was scheduled to participate in a triathlon with Tatsuya Kee a long time friend, team-mate, and fellow lifeguard and another friend. The person doing the running leg backed out and then Trevor Whittle said he would do it. After a second fall out with Trevor backing out as well I said to hell with it I’ll do it if no one else. But then I realized, I know a great runner that would love to do this, since he hasn’t ran competively in some years now, who else than Hughie my dad. So I called dad and sure enough he was on board.
All said and done it was a great race!

I just picked up a few things at Ikea to get my room a little bit more organized. I got this cool bookcase for $30 in the “as is sale scetion” instead of the usual $50 price and put a big curtain up in front of my closet since I took the closet doors down. It feels good to have everything in its place now, aka stuffed under the bed.

After realizing it was too late to cancel my summer sculpture class I jumped into the class two weeks in. This is the final sculpture I made for this class. The sculpture is an abstraction of a human forearm.
